How to Use Goen Products
How to Use Shampoo Effectively:
1. Brush Before Washing Gently brush your hair to help lift dirt and buildup from the scalp and hair.
2. Thoroughly Wet Your Scalp Use your hands to wet your scalp and hair thoroughly. Rinsing for 1–2 minutes can remove up to 70% of dirt and impurities.
3. Lather the Shampoo Dispense 2–3 pumps of shampoo into your palm and lather it before applying it to your scalp. Massage gently to create a rich foam. Depending on your scalp condition and hair length, repeat as needed to ensure the shampoo is evenly distributed.
※For those with excess sebum or buildup on the hair and scalp, those who use silicone based hair care products, styling products, or have hair damaged and alkalized by coloring or chemical treatments, we recommend doing a pre-shampoo first, rinsing thoroughly, and then shampooing once more.
4. Add Water If Needed If the foam is insufficient, add a small amount of water to help create more lather.
5. Massage the Scalp Using the pads of your fingers (not your nails), massage your scalp in circular motions to cleanse thoroughly and stimulate circulation. Be sure to cover the entire scalp evenly.
6. Rinse Thoroughly Rinsing is the most important step! Rinse your hair for at least 1–2 minutes. Even after you think you’re done, rinse once more to ensure no shampoo residue remains on your scalp.
How to Use Conditioner Effectively:
1. After gently removing excess water from your hair, take 2 to 6 pumps of conditioner into your palm and spread it evenly.
If you want to reduce hair volume, apply it throughout your hair.
If you need more volume, focus on the ends only.
2. Use a comb to distribute the conditioner evenly from roots to ends. ( Wet hair is very delicate, so handle it gently :-)
As part of the natural hair cycle, shed hairs can cause tangling. For those with curly, medium-long, or long hair, gently combing through your hair from the scalp to the ends while the conditioner is applied will help improve smoothness and manageability.
Tips for Different Hair & Scalp Types
・Dry Scalp
(While not always the case, flaky dandruff that looks like powder may be a sign of dryness.)
If you have thick, frizzy hair and prefer a smooth, moisturized finish:
→ Apply conditioner to the scalp and hair, massage the scalp, and leave it on for 5–10 minutes before rinsing.
・Oily Scalp / Fine Hair
If your hair tends to go flat easily or you prefer a light, airy finish:
→ Avoid applying conditioner to the scalp. Instead, apply it from the mid-lengths to the ends of your hair, gently comb through, and rinse thoroughly.
・Dry Scalp but Prefer Volume
If you want to care for your scalp but avoid a heavy or flat finish:
→ Take a small amount of conditioner, spread it in your palms, apply it lightly throughout the hair, massage gently, and rinse immediately without leaving it on.
